5 Easy Ways To Pamper Yourself

Stress Management

Life is so busy and as mothers we spend so much time tending to the needs of others and pampering others that we sometimes neglect to pamper ourselves.

Here are 5 easy and fun ways to pamper yourself and nurture your mind, body and spirit:

1 - Wake up before the others in the house do and flip through a magazine or simply sip on a hot cup of coffee or tea and enjoy a few uninterrupted moments before the day fully begins.

2 - Weather permitting, take a nice walk and just enjoy your surroundings. Take note of all the beauty that is surrounding you.

3 - Take short breaks during your day whether you are a stay at home mom, work at home mom or work outside of the home, try doing something for yourself periodically throughout the day. You can close your eyes and daydream, browse through the paper or simply have a short friendly chat with a friend.

4 - Treat yourself to a manicure, pedicure or even a new hairstyle. We often are so used to treating others that we forget to treat ourselves and forget to let others pamper us.

5 - Take a nice long warm bubble bath. Fill your mind and senses with a nice fragrance and just soak for as long as you can.

It is truly amazing at how pampering yourself will rejuvenate you!

Take Care,

Stress Relief - An Industry For Self Inflicted Stress
Stress ReliefStress is a big business in Western society. We live what we regard as hectic lives, that prime us with stress. That stress, to those who recognise its presence, requires relief. We are competitive beyond true need, and that too pumps more stress into us. We live lives that are devoid of spirituality, and that allows stress to infiltrate deeply into our daily existence, often to roam uncontrolled throughout our minds and bodies. In our material world, it is no wonder that stress relief has become big business. Suffering stress has become habitual in Western society. Mostly, it is self imposed, a fabrication of the modern Western way of life. By and large, much of the stress experienced in Europe, Nor...(related: Stress Management)

Why Stress Is Not Necessary
We are not designed for long term stress. It causes us physical damage.Coping mechanisms disguise the problem, they do not solve it.If you broke a leg would you develop a coping strategy to continue to live with the broken leg, or would you get the leg repaired.StressA good day can sometimes be characterised by an event that occurred. An order that was won or a singular success that has put everyone on a high. But life is not about singular successes. We don't get married because there was one singular event that turned into love, we don't support our football team because of one goal that they scored. The quality of our lives, the way we feel about ourselves is about an ongoing repeated series of small events. If these events are positive then we will feel good.<...(related: Stress Management)

Cancel Stress And Be Blessed!
Matthew 11:28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.In this verse, Jesus Christ invites those that have struggles and those who are buried with issues and dilemmas. He invites people who have come to the point where they begin to feel as if all hope is lost. Mental, physical and spiritual fatigue are the bi-products of heavy burdens that we attempt to bare single handedly. Trying to handle our problems and situations on our own, ...(related: Stress Management)

The Work Of Byron Katie - Freedom From Stress Is Only 4 Questions Away
All stress comes from believing a thought that argues with reality. And when you oppose "what is" - it hurts. In Byron Katie's first book, Loving What Is, she illustrates this with a simple and clear example with a cat:If you want reality to be different than it is, you might as well try to teach a cat to bark. You can try and try, and in the end the cat will look up at you and say, "Meow." Wanting reality to be different than it is is hopeless. You can spend th...(related: Stress Management)

Stress Management: Are You A Chooser Or A Loser?
Author and speaker H. Stephen Glenn has said,"In terms of the entire world, if, when you wake up in the morning, you have a choice of what to eat, a choice of what to wear, a job to go to and a way to get there, you have abundance."And yet we squander that abundance so...(related: Stress Management)

Sshhh... Listen To Your Own Voice
It was a self-exploration that made me understand myself. It was like discovering the one last elusive word in a jigsaw puzzle that completes other words.I had to interview Father Francis Chittilappilly, Executive Director of BOSCO - an organization in Gandhi Nagar in Bangalore that provides succor to street children. I thought I would get it over with in an hour and then attend to the endless list of to-do that I keep in my handbag. As I waited for Father, I watched the children in tattered clothes, picked up from the city railway station. These destitute children, who had run away from home, were generally rag-pickers. Their irrepressible enthusiasm and energy despite what life had doled out to them was remarkable. My mood, heavy with the incidents of the past few days, lifted conside...(related: Stress Management)
