Amazon is already doing it and Google, Barnes & Noble and Apple are soon to join with their own self-publishing ebook stores.
You can now publish your content on Amazon's Kindle in digital format and on Createspace as paperback or on CD and other formats. A new craze has emerged full of opportunities to publish your PLR products and make money real fast.
From within your free Amazon account you can now publish your digital PLR e-books on the new Kindle Platform. The Kindle Reader, which sells like crazy, can read your published contents, videos and music and has been purchased by thousands. Get in now with a few products in the early stages.
This opportunity lets you bypass publishers, agents and ISBN registrations. The platform utilises HTML format and Microsoft Word.
The other spin-off was that my site listing jumped to page one on Google, in fourth place from the top, from page 7 (after 3 years of struggling to get anywhere in a very competitive keyword market), as soon as I had finished with creating my Amazon profile.

Google also recently during a news release, announced that they will be offering self-publishing of e-books from December 2010. While a publisher only gets about 30% of the price at Amazon's Kindle, Google will be paying out 70%, which will give Google a big preferential popularity with self-publishers.
The new trend in future will be that more and more websites will start offering self-publishing services. Now is the time to get ready for this explosion of new opportunities, which are lurking just around the corner.
The biggest money-making opportunity will of course be to offer the same service to self-publishers, if you can get hold of the reliable Amazon-like software for a third party book store.
The free Adobe Digital Reader for PC's can read both the EPub format and PDF format. Adobe PDF will stay around for a long time. The free Calibre software seems to be the best recommendation to convert PDF's to EPub.
